THEORETICAL JUSTIFICATION OF WATER CONSUMPTION FOR SPRAYING WHEN WATERING POULTRY THROUGH A NIPPLE DRINKER WITH A BALL-TYPE VALVE SYSTEM
31.03.2026
Abstract
This article presents theoretical studies on determining the volume Vrazb. of water consumption
for spraying when watering poultry through a nipple drinker with a ball-type valve system, which is
distinguished by a simple design, the possibility of the valve system self-cleaning from salt deposits
and reliability in operation. Based on the obtained results of calculating the volume Vrazb. of water
consumption for spraying, it can be concluded that when using the developed nipple drinker with a
diameter d1 of the outlet opening of its pusher seat of 6.4 mm and a pressure p in the water supply
system in the range from 0.06 to 0.08 bar, the smallest water losses for spraying are achieved with
daily satisfaction of the poultry need for water.
