INTELLIGENT SYSTEM OF MICROCLIMATE CONTROL FOR PIG FARMS

31.03.2026

Issue №1, 2026

Abstract
The article discusses the problem of optimizing the microclimate parameters in pig farms,
which is the key factor in increasing productivity and preserving livestock. The article analyzes
modern approaches to the automation of livestock facilities. The authors have also developed and
justified the architecture of an economically oriented intelligent microclimate and air quality control
system based on the microcomputer “Raspberry Pi” and open-source software. The distinctive feature
of the proposed system is its ability to integrate existing engineering equipment (heating and
ventilation systems) into a single complex that provides centralized microclimate control. The system
is scalable by the means of connecting additional sensors and actuators. The system’s functionality
also includes the control of automatic cleaning and disinfection cycles in the premises, which is
essential for preparing the sections for the introduction of new livestock. The authors provide a
detailed control algorithm, taking into account the categories of animals, the concentration of harmful
gases (NH₃, CO₂, H₂S), and temperature and humidity parameters. The developed algorithm has been
tested in an automated system that maintains the temperature within the specified limits. During
the simulation modeling, the operability of the developed algorithm as part of the designed automated
system, ensuring the maintenance of the temperature regime within the specified limits, has been
confirmed. The system implements the control of several separate rooms, each of which is equipped
with an individual set of sensors and actuators. Experimental testing on a laboratory setup has
confirmed the correct functioning of the proposed algorithms both in the temperature stabilization
mode and in the emergency response mode when the CO₂ concentration exceeds the threshold values.
Based on the obtained results, the feasibility of implementing the developed system in small and
medium-sized farms has been substantiated, with the potential for scaling it to large livestock
complexes.

THEORETICAL JUSTIFICATION OF WATER CONSUMPTION FOR SPRAYING WHEN WATERING POULTRY THROUGH A NIPPLE DRINKER WITH A BALL-TYPE VALVE SYSTEM

31.03.2026

Issue №1, 2026

Abstract
This article presents theoretical studies on determining the volume Vrazb. of water consumption
for spraying when watering poultry through a nipple drinker with a ball-type valve system, which is
distinguished by a simple design, the possibility of the valve system self-cleaning from salt deposits
and reliability in operation. Based on the obtained results of calculating the volume Vrazb. of water
consumption for spraying, it can be concluded that when using the developed nipple drinker with a
diameter d1 of the outlet opening of its pusher seat of 6.4 mm and a pressure p in the water supply
system in the range from 0.06 to 0.08 bar, the smallest water losses for spraying are achieved with
daily satisfaction of the poultry need for water.

GRAPHIC-ANALYTICAL DETERMINATION OF THE GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS OF PASSIVE CONE REFLECTORS OF A VERTICAL DISTRIBUTOR HEAD FOR A PNEUMATIC SEEDING COMPLEX

31.03.2026

Issue №1, 2026

Abstract
The graphic-analytical method has been used to determine the geometric parameters
of passive cone deflectors for a vertical distributor head for a pneumatic seeding system. The authors
have obtained the dependencies for designing and manufacturing passive cone deflectors with lateral
surfaces of varying curvatures for subsequent experimental studies in order to optimize the design
of cone distributors using seeded grain.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE NECESSITY TO IMPROVE THE SYSTEM OF INTRODUCING THE COMPOUND FEED MICROCOMPONENTS

31.03.2026

Issue №1, 2026

Abstract
The article highlights the main parameters that affect the process of compound feed dosing. Based on this, the authors propose a scheme that describes the relationship between the parameters and performance indicators of dosing systems. They have also developed a scheme for the parallel input of micro-components of compound feed. The article considers proposals and technical solutions to improve the performance of micro-dosage systems for compound feed components. Unresolved issues that require further scientific research are highlighted in the article.

JUSTIFICATION OF DESIGN AND MODE SETTINGS OF FEED PREPARING MACHINES BY THE METHOD OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS NOMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

31.03.2026

Issue №1, 2026

Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of mathematical models using the method of constructing
grid nomographs, which allow watching the simultaneous influence of three or more factors.
The research methodology involves decomposing the existing polynomial model into several
equations, and then presenting each equation as a simple nomograph. As an example, the authors give
the technique for constructing a nomograph for a mathematical model of incomplete third degree,
which has some features of construction. After the transformation of the experimentally obtained mathematical model, the procedure for constructing a nomograph is presented. The visual
representation of the resulting nomograph for the mathematical model under study is given.
